Geelong Sustainability Group and Dan Cowdell (pictured here) is committed to boosting the uptake of renewable energy in the Geelong/Surf Coast region and have been researching ways to assist local residents to better understand options and to enable informed decisions.
We want to:
- Replace big energy with community solar, so that together we all benefit.
- Simplify the process of getting solar and batteries
- Give people a range of options, solar, batteries, solar + batteries, plus all different purchasing and finance options.
- Bring the benefits of community group buying power to reduce prices
- Give the community a trusted source for solar advice.
To bring benefits of a bulk buy to the community, Geelong Sustainability Group has created the Geelong Community Solar Program in partnership with solar provider ShineHub and local community groups. With support from City of Greater Geelong, Golden Plains Shire and Colac Otway Shire are bringing their popular Community Solar Program your way.
To introduce the program we’ve scheduled a number of free community events so you can learn how it works, talk to solar experts about what’s good for you, and get exclusive bulk-buy deals on solar and battery systems for your home or small business.
