The Humans in Geelong Book is being distributed all around the region thanks to the 500 people who attended the Book Launch on Sunday. The launch was held at the Hangar, let free to community groups, thanks to the major sponsor of the Humans in Geelong Expo 2019, Rory Costelloe and Villawood Properties.
Thanks to Rory and Noel Murphy and Villawood for joining the team and helping to inspire, connect and strengthen our community. Rory is pictured with Founder Jacqui Bennett and Geelong Mayor Bruce Harwood. We really appreciate all the support we gain from the City of Greater Geelong.
Thanks also to Kardinia Rotary Club who were on tea, coffee and washing up. Althea and Kerry from the Club are also Humans in Geelong team members. Our auspice, the amazing Geelong Sustainability supplied the ‘War Against Waste’ crockery and cutlery kit.
Pictured below is Chris, with his free book, from Duro St, Geelong Resource Recovery Centre and Transfer Station who help me sort the waste so it could all be recycled. That handy contact came from our friends at GDP @GeelongDisabledPeople’sIndustries My friends chooks got a load too.
Highton Primary School supplied an urn, trestle tables, witches’ hats and lots of gorgeous kids who joined in on the dancing and fun.
We loved having a red carpet, thanks Andy Magee, so that all those amazing people who attended could feel extra special. Humans in Geelong team members were there to give them all Free HuGs. Together we are creating the HuG movement.
Restaurant Igni chefs, thanks for the dances at the Piano Bar Geelong later Sunday night.
Pictured also is team member Liams Art delivering books. Thanks Dame Edna Average for delivering book to the Geelong Hospital. Tell us in comments below where you’ve taken yours?
